Growing up in Southeast Texas, football and refineries were the main activities. Books became my escape to other worlds. I married young to my soulmate, who traveled for work, and we spent decades traveling and raising our two sons. After working in the accounting department of a contractor company in the oil refineries, I realized the need for a creative outlet was essential. I engaged in painting, drawing, and making specialty cakes, but my first love has always been reading and storytelling. When I finally quit my job and found myself with a lot of free time, I noticed most of the books I read were similar. That's when I decided to start writing my own stories. The joy it has brought me is indescribable. Knowing that someone out there has heard my voice and maybe even seen themselves in my characters is an amazing feeling.
